Chocolate sponge
Ingredients
- 4 Eggs
- 225 g Sugar
- 175 g Self raising Flour
- 5 ml Baking powder
- 50 g Coco powder
- 40 g Butter room temperature
Method
- Preheat oven to 175ºc.
- Mix all ingredients together with a electrical mixer. Mix just until all is mixed.
- Pour into 24 cm round baking pan.
- Bake at 190oc for 30 min.
- Bake until a skewer comes out clean.
- leave till cool cut in halve and spread with your filling of choice.
- Makes 1 round cake 2 slices.
- May be frozen.
