Marshmallow Chocolate cake
Ingredients
- 1 Chocolate sponge
- 150 g Marshmallows
- 250 ml Cream
- Icing sugar for dusting (for decoration)
Method
- Cut chocolate sponge in halve and put bottom in a tight fitting ring.
- Bring cream to the boil.
- Add the marshmallows and stir until melted.
- Pore melted cream and marshmallow mixture in ring on sponge.
- Place the top piece of cake on top.
- Be careful the mixture is very hot and let the top piece of cake “float”on top.
- Refrigerate for about an hour.
- Cut cake carefully out of ring.
- Place a doily on the cake and sprinkle icing sugar with a sieve to form a design.
- Serve cold with runny custard.
Serve 8 portions
