Wakawaka
Wakawaka is great if budget is running low or you don't want to cook a lot of dishes.
Ingredients
- ¼ Cabbage
- 3 Carrots
- 3 potatoes
- 1 Cup Rice ( uncooked )
- ½ Cup soup mix
- 1 Teaspoon mild yellow curry
- ½ Teaspoon leaf masala
- 1 Teaspoon Garum masala
- ¼ Teaspoon Cumin powder
- 3 Teaspoons BBQ spice
- 2 Bayleafs
- ½ Teaspoon Black pepper corns
- ¼ Teaspoon Coriander seeds
- 4 whole cloves
- 40 g Tomato paste
- Pinch of Salt
Method
- Slice the Carrots and cut the potatoes in chunks and set aside.
- Fry the chopped onion, bayleafs, pepper corns, cloves and coriander together in a little oil.
- Fry until onions is see through but not brown.
- Add the spices and fry until the spices start to change color.
- Add the carrots and potatoes.
- Add the raw rice and soup mix and 4 cups of water.
- Add the sliced cabbage and Tomato paste cover the pot.
- Simmer until rice and potatoes is soft about 30 min.
- Try to stir as little as possible.
- Don't cook to dry. Serve hot.
