Brown lentil Dahll
Ingredients
- 1 Onion
- 2 Potatoes (to your taste peeled or not)
- 1 Cup brown lentils
- 1 Teaspoon Garum Masala
- ½ Teaspoon Mild yellow curry
- 2 Whole Cadamon
- 2 Bayleafs
- ½ Teaspoon Black pepper corns
- 3 Whole Cloves
- ¼ Teaspoon whole Coriander
- 2 Teaspoons vinegar
- 30 g Tomato paste
- Pinch of Salt
Method
- Chop and fry onion with bayleafs, black peppercorns, cloves and coriander
- Fry until lightly brown
- Add remaining spices
- Add vinegar and immediately 4 cups of water
- Add the brown Lentils
- Boil until soft about 30 min
- Add potatoes and simmer until soft
- Add the tomato paste and simmer for 5 min
- Serve on White rice or Basmati rice
