Mejadra
Rice and lentils with a toch of cumin and fried onion
Ingredients
- 1 cup rice
- ½ Cup brown lentils
- 1 Onion
- ½ Teaspoon cumin
- Pinch of Salt
Method
- Slice the onion and fry until brown.
- Add the cumin and remove from heat.
- In the meanwhile cook the rice according to Directions on packet.
- Cook the brown lentils until soft.
- Mix cooked rice, cooked lentils, and fried onion together.
- Mix with a large fork to prevent making it from mushing.
- Serve hot as a variation of rice
